What changes for olive producers

The new list of insured values and special insurance contributions of the ELGA for 2026 provides for increases in the main categories of olive cultivation. In particular, the special insurance charge for olive oil is set at EUR 5,10 per acre, for table olives at EUR 17,55 per acre, while for mixed olives it is EUR 9,36 per acre. The new prices will apply to the Farming Statements of 2026, with the corresponding contributions paid by 31 March 2027.

At the same time, for the insurance contributions of 2025 an extension of the payment period has already been decided by 31 July 2026, giving additional time to producers to settle their obligations.
