# Porsche Panamera 500 horsepower in UPTA fleet

The special OPTA Traffic Team was strengthened with a black Porsche Panamera 3,000 cubic and 500 horsepower, granted by the Citizen Protection Ministry. The vehicle will be used to identify and pursue drivers speeding on the streets of Attica. The UPTA fleet already includes two Porsche Cayenne, a BMW Z4 and Hayabusa motorcycles. High performance vehicles often come from seizures in criminal cases and are driven by specially trained members of the group.

Analyticalally:



A new, high-performance vehicle is added to its fleet OFTA, of its Special Group Traffic which attempts in cases of increased risk, with its presence already recorded on the streets of Attica.

It's a black color Porsche Panamera, with a 3,000 cubic centimetre engine and a power of 500 horsepower, which was granted by the Civil Protection Ministry and adapted to the team's operational needs.

Its role focuses mainly on identification and pursuit of speeding drivers, but also to the overall reinforcement of traffic presence in critical points of the road network. The capabilities of this model, both at acceleration and road behaviour level, make it suitable for interventions requiring immediate reaction and handling accuracy.

At the same time, the image of such a vehicle on patrol works as it is difficult to observe.

The new acquisition comes to be added to an already powerful fleet available to the ECPTA, including two Porsche Cayenne, a BMW Z4 and Hayabusa-type motorcyclesThe choice of these instruments reflects a clear shift in high performance vehicles that can meet the requirements of modern street policing.

It is noted that corresponding high performance vehicles which are at times part of the Authority fleet They often come from seizures in anti-criminal operations, especially in drug trafficking cases.

In several cases these are cars that have undergone extensive conversions, with engine improvements and their mechanical parts, significantly increasing their power relative to factory characteristics. These interventions make them even more demanding in handling, but also highly efficient in high-speed conditions.

These vehicles are driven by members of the GLP with a high level of training and proven driving skills, elements necessary for their safe and effective use on the road network.
