The Fuel Pass program changed radically after «crash» the platform from the volume of applications. As of Tuesday 7/4 today, applications are gradually made on the basis of the last digit of VAT: VAT ending at 1,2.3 today, at 4.5.6,7 tomorrow Wednesday and 8,9.0 Thursday 9/4. From Friday 10/4 the platform opens for everyone up to 30/4. The aid ranges from EUR 40-60 depending on the area and how it is paid.

The «rain» applications for Fuel Pass caused «short circuit» on the platform, leading to an arron change in both the application procedure and the payment plan of the aid. What's the new payment plan?

From 17:00 Monday afternoon April 6th to 21:00 caused black out more than 160,000 applications were submitted, i.e. 667 per minute with nearly 3,000 logins per second.

After payment of this «Furnish» the aid will be paid as originally planned, i.e. 48 hours after the application, but the applications will now be submitted according to the last digit of the VAT.

In particular, the application will operate in the following days on the basis of the expired number of the beneficiaries’ VAT, as follows:

  • Today Tuesday 7/4/2026: Applications can be submitted by beneficiaries whose VAT expires in 1, 2 and 3.
  • Wednesday 8/4/2026: Applications may be made by beneficiaries whose VAT rate expires at 4, 5, 6 and 7.
  • Thursday 9/4/2026: Applications can be made by beneficiaries whose VAT expires 8, 9 and 0.
  • From Friday 10/4/2026: The platform will remain open to all citizens, regardless of the number of their VAT until 30/4/2026.

This practically means that a «order» payments, which will be made according to the VAT and thus those that expire in 1,2,3 and will submit their applications today M. Tuesday They'll have the aid money in their hands before Easter.

The remaining VAT, which will make their applications from tomorrow M. Wednesday 8th of the month will be paid on Tuesday following Easter and then, due to the bank holiday on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

What are the amounts of aid?

The aid will be given in the form of a digital card or by direct deposit to a bank account. The amounts shall vary the area and the manner in which they are paid:

  • 50 euros for those who choose a digital card in mainland Greece
  • 60 euros for island Greece
  • EUR 40 with deposit in IBAN (continental)
  • EUR 50 with deposit (island)

In other words, the digital card gives greater support, except for EUR 10.

The amount (via the digital card) can be used beyond the supply of unleaded, diesel, gas from fuel stations and public transport as well as taxis.

For motorcycle owners the amount is set at EUR 30 and EUR 35 respectively by digital card and EUR 5 less by account.

The income limit is set at 25,000 euros for singles and 35,000 euros for couples, with an increase of 5,000 euros for each child, while for single-parent families the limit reaches around 39,000 euros, also with a corresponding increase.

The aid will be granted on basic conditions for the vehicle to be in circulation, insured and without charges, while any natural person can only declare one vehicle through the gov.gr platform. Where a couple meets the criteria in their joint tax declaration, they are both entitled to the aid in the event of the holding of two separate vehicles.

Each member should make a separate application and include its own vehicle in its application. The requested member should have the ownership or co-ownership of the vehicle.
