Imports of goods are one of the most demanding areas of VAT, with multiple regimes, special procedures and continuous developments – especially after the development of electronic commerce. Proper knowledge of the framework opens up important opportunities for businesses: exploiting favourable schemes, improving liquidity and full tax compliance.
The seminar gives clear answers to any issues arising in everyday practice: from the calculation of taxable value and VAT deduction, to simplified procedures, e-commerce and exemption provisions. The aim is to acquire practical knowledge and tools that will allow accounting agencies to correctly apply the relevant provisions for the benefit of their customers importers while avoiding fines and increases from their incorrect application.

private sector. He has served in various places in customs
authorities and for several years Head of Department of Export Import
responsible for coordinating all VAT matters relating to
responsibilities of the customs office.
Korres Leonidas
Leonidas Corres is an Auditor of Auditor Accountant and specialized Tax Advisor, with a focus on matters of VAT and International Taxation. He holds the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT CIOT UK). It has extensive experience in supporting accounting offices and businesses in tax matters as well as staff training.
