The latest information indicates that ADE has not yet given «green light» on the content of the notice, while critical technical issues such as the use of electronic implementation, the quality assurance of the controls have not yet been fully settled.

In particular, regarding the use of the electronic application where the work will be registered and the carbon reduction rate will be obtained, the information says that those of ECO 6 (Ecological Figure) will be used which will be appropriately modified to support intervention.

This delay, however, has now begun to create other issues:

-First, the producers concerned will be invited to choose an ecological scheme for 2026 through the IACC, without knowing whether this will be compatible at parcel level with the coalmining premium. It is noted that it is still not clear whether the full incompatibility described in the Technical Bulletin of the Intervention hosted in the CFP will apply.

Second, if the invitation to intervene is delayed, the risk of losing the first year of application (2026) is at stake. After all, it has not been made clear officially what exactly commitments producers must comply with.

Proposed practices

It is recalled that intervention «Reduction of carbon footprint in arable crops» a budget of EUR 120 million grants farmers a 20% reduction in carbon footprint in 2026 compared to 2025 based on various practices. This 20% reduction rate should be maintained in 2027 and 2028. Farmers should follow some or some of the following commitments based on the pre-publication of the Intervention:

-Orthological use of lubrication.
