One of the lowest wholesale prices for electricity Greece will have in the European Union tomorrow.

According to data from energy exchanges, prices will fall due to the high participation of renewable energy sources in load coverage and despite increased demand - due to high temperatures - expected on Thursday.

The Greek stock exchange price is set for tomorrow at EUR 95.81 per megawatt hour, while in the majority of EU countries it is over EUR 140 and in many it exceeds EUR 160.

For example, Bulgaria and Romania are EUR 138,29 and EUR 163,54 respectively, Austria EUR 161,55, Hungary 163,69, Germany EUR 147,07, France EUR 154,68. In Spain it is EUR 141.7 and in Portugal EUR 144.16.

RES is expected to cover 70% of demand tomorrow, as, apart from photovoltaics, the participation of wind turbines is expected to increase.

According to the forecast, wind and photovoltaics will participate with 63.2% in tomorrow's cargo, hydroelectric 5%, RES of Crete 1.5% and batteries 0.6%.

According to the same estimates, the participation of RES tomorrow will range from historically high levels and, in particular, will be the second highest performance.
