Beneficiaries who will receive the money, up to 3,000 euros, on average, are more than 35,000 and come from almost all insurance funds. However, it should be noted that all beneficiaries will not receive the same amount as its amount depends on retirement time and insurance years.

In particular, the information system of the EPKA «Run» recalculations on a monthly basis for hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries. Who are the retrospectives involved? They are pensioners with more than 30 years of insurance (old and young up to 30/9/2019), based on the improved replacement rates of Law 4670/2020).

The five categories

Most pending cases concern insured persons of former OAEE-TEBE, IKA and State, with the primaries owned by OAEE-TEBE, with 12,092 pending cases. From there follows the IKA with 11,256 pending cases, the State with nearly 9,000 pending cases, the EBRD-TSAY with approximately 1,500 pending cases (1,420) and TAPOTE m 693.

Priority is given in cases where increases occur, and following the recalculation of the basic pension, the annual increases of the period 2023-2026 are recalculated retroactively, thus creating the additional monthly difference and the corresponding retroactive ones. For example, a pensioner currently receiving EUR 989, after the recalculation can reach EUR 1,047 per month, while receiving EUR 4,756 back months.

The question is, why are the recalculations delayed? The answer is that shortcomings have been found in certain files or errors in the former insurance fund data, but also in the initial retirement decisions.
