The payment dates for the pensions of May 2026 were established after the announcement of the EPKA. Their payment will be based on the separation between employees and non-employed persons.

Pensioners of the non-employed Funds (OAUs, OGAs, EBRDs), as well as those receiving private sector main and ancillary pensions, are paid first. May 2026 pensions will be paid on Friday 24 April and Monday 27 April, according to the EPKA announcement.

It is recalled that the EPKA's initial recommendation provided for pension payments on Monday 27 and Wednesday 29 April.

The Communication from the EPKA on pensions

Payment dates follow the rule of separation between Employees and Non-Employers and are shaped as follows:

  • On Friday, April 24, 2026, the main pensions will be paid by the former non-employed OAEE, OGA and EBRD funds, the main pensions awarded since the establishment of the EPKA and then, with Law 4387/2013, through the OPS-EFKA (Retired Employees & Non-Employers from 1.1.2017 onwards) and all supplementary pensions of the private sector (Non-Employers and Employees).
  • On Monday, April 27, 2026, the main pensions of the former Employee Funds will be paid (IKA-ETAM, banks, OTE, PPC, OTHER INSTITUTIONAL (TSAGGSO, CSAP), NET, ETAT and EFF-SME) as well as the main and ancillary pensions of the State.

It is recalled that beneficiaries of pensions will see the amounts in their accounts as early as the afternoon of the previous day. Specifically, payments scheduled for Friday, April 24 will have been credited by Thursday, April 23rd, while those on Monday, April 27th will appear on the beneficiaries' accounts from Friday, April 26th.
