Auditors of the Financial Transaction Control Forces (AEOS) of AEOC began checks on airlines operating operations in respect of the conditions of possession and management of these instruments, as well as the fulfilment of the company's tax obligations.
The operation started after repeated landing incidents helicopters in unlicensed areas in island Greece.
During the summer there were at least two incidents of landing of private helicopters on beaches of Greek islands that caused reactions: Apple In addition, the Spetses.
Data were studied by the Civil Aviation Agency and administrative assistance was requested from another European Union country to provide additional information.

The survey found that the Greek register helicopter, which landed recently in Milos, belongs to a Cypriot company with a alleged tenant in Greece, a non-profit association and with another airline operator and the training of governors, based at an airport in Attica.
The auditors of the IEOS made cross-checks drawing data from the databases and digital systems of the AEOC, and from them there was a mismatch between the actual use of the helicopter (renting to third parties) and the publication of the corresponding tax documents for which tax infringements were found over 300,000 euros. In addition, the amount of tax evasion and fines is investigated by the use of the helicopter for speculative purposes.
At the same time, auditors investigate the landing case in Spetses of the Austrian helicopter register, which belongs to an Austrian operator company, a legal person based in an area in Attica.
The focus of the audit is to investigate the true nature of transactions and services provided, economic relations between the parties concerned, and to respect the tax obligations envisaged. Already, only for August, this company hid 25,000 euros of VAT.
At the same time, there is a cross-check of available data and an assessment of trade and contractual relations between the legal and natural persons involved in Greece and countries abroad.
