Meta announces worldwide subscriptions for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp and begins testing new Meta One planes for AI, creators and businesses.

The aim is to offer additional functions to demanding users and to enhance revenue diversification beyond advertising.

The new Plus plans are priced at $3.99 a month for Instagram and Facebook and at $2.99 for WhatsApp. Subscribers gain access to functions such as profile adaptation, enhanced reactions and statistics for Stories, with the company adding that other entertainment opportunities will follow in the future, according to product head Naomi Gleit.

The tests for additional offers will be carried out under the Meta One umbrella, which will function as a single roof for subscription products. Plus plans do not replace Meta Verified, which focuses on verification of accounts, protection from counterfeiting and additional support. Meta is also not currently proceeding with the abolition of older planets.

At function level, Instagram Plus enriches the management of Stories. Subscribers see overall how many have seen a Story, create unlimited audience lists beyond «Close friends», air a story once a week for extra views, extend the duration beyond 24 hours, preview without appearing to the audience of spectators and search for names on the spectator list. They can also post directly on the profile and highlight without appearing on the followers' feeds.

The same plan includes Super Heart animated reactions for stories, custom application icons, custom bio fonts and access to additional pins for the profile. Facebook Plus offers a corresponding set of capabilities, while WhatsApp Plus focuses on personalization with application themes, custom call sounds, additional pints, list adaptation, premium stickers and more.

For Meta AI users, Meta will try two shots, Meta One Plus at $7.99 and Meta One Premium at $19.99. Both include the same functions, with Premium unlocking greater capacity in demanding questions, which translates into deeper reasoning for complex tasks and more video and image creation capabilities in all Meta applications. Meta AI remains free for more occasional use. Tests begin next month in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia, with benefits that will be extended over the next few weeks and for AI glass users.

At the same time, two shots for creators and businesses start testing this week on markets such as Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Thailand and Bangladesh. Meta One Essential at $14.99 offers a verification signal, protection from counterfeiting and enhanced linkssheet for references to social and internet presence. Meta One Advanced at $49.99 adds appearance on Facebook feed, higher ranking in Facebook and Instagram search, strong Follow button on Reels and automatic invitations «follow» to those who interact with your content.

Advanced also helps promote websites or stores through links to posts and Reels on Instagram and through enhanced Facebook and Instagram profiles with expanded linkssheets. It includes upgraded analytics with deeper, competitive insights on Instagram and custom Facebook audience elements, optimized programming tools, common password-free access tools and content reuse notifications to request a label that attributes credit to the original reel.

Meta had already launched the first tests of consumer subscriptions in the spring, seeking to serve users who ask more of their social applications and to exploit its existing audience, given the limited further development. Gleit said testing for AI and professional footage continues and the goal is all to unify under Meta One, with fixed updates and extensions in the future.
