The Minimum Introduction Base is a threshold of molecules that the candidate must overcome in order to be able to enter each school. For each section it is calculated separately on the basis of Average Term (MO) the examination and the EBE coefficient of the school.
The Minimum Introduction Base shall be calculated on the basis of the average performance of each field candidates and the coefficient chosen by each section, ranging from 0,80 to 1.20. The factor varies from 0,80 (min., «easy» entry) up to 1,20 (maximum, «hard» Input). In this way each school forms its own minimum import limit, even before the final bases arise.
The biggest rise in the 2nd Scientific Field
The evidence shows that the most significant change in this year's Minimum Introduction Bases is recorded in the 2nd Scientific Field (positive and technological sciences), where the official EBE is formed at 13,09, increased by 0.81 units or 6.6% compared to 2025.
The rise is great after the candidates' performance, mainly in the courses of Physics and Mathematics, that raised the field average. This increases in the number of young people. minimum import limits for all 2nd-field schools, as EBE forms the basis on which the coefficient (from 0,80 to 1.20) chosen by each segment is applied.
In practice, this development means that candidates who claim a position in Polytechnic, Positive and other technological schools should concentrate more molecules only to overcome the import threshold, before the final bases are even formed. This is the field that is expected to accept the biggest upward pressures in Bases 2026, as the combination of higher EBEs and increased number of aristocrats strengthens competition in popular schools.
For 2026 prices are as follows
1st Field (Humanistic, Legal): 11.20 (-0.09 compared to 2025)
2nd Field (positive and technological): 13,09 (+0,81)
Field 3 (Health Sciences): 12.32 (+0.33)
4th Field (Economics and Informatics): 10,33 (-0,17)
Please note that the impressive rise in the 2nd Field, by about 6.6%, is attributed to the very best performance of candidates, mainly in Physics and Mathematics, which automatically increases the EBE of most schools.
The entrance threshold to schools
For the sections selected by lower rate (0,80)The minimum EBEs shall be as follows:

On the other hand, in schools applying the maximum rate (1,20), requirements are significantly increased:

There are cases especially in schools that require special courses, the final limit is even higher. A typical example is the Architecture of the University of Patras, where the total EBE is approximately 16.50, one of the highest in the country.
Special Courses
The minimum introduction bases in the special courses are important, as they are an additional condition for admission to schools such as Architecturals, Foreign Literature, TEFAs and Music Departments.
