On Monday, 20 April 2026, at 13:00, business applications for participation in the new employment action of the Public Employment Service (DYPA), which provides a subsidy of EUR 1.185 per month, or EUR 12,220 in total.

In particular, the action concerns businesses in the Region of Western Macedonia, Megalopolis and the neighbouring municipalities of Tripoli, Ochalia, Gortynia, as well as the small islands of the North and South Aegean Regions and the Region of Crete with a population of less than 3,100.

The «special business grant scheme for the employment of unemployed former workers in enterprises affected by depopulation in the ESDEM West Macedonia, Megalopolis and Islands» It concerns the creation of an additional 1,000 new full-time jobs, in addition to the 1,700 already created, for registered in the IPP unemployment register.

The duration of the grant is 12 months and ranges from 70% of the salary and contributions for the common unemployed (829.50 euros per month, 9,954 euros total) to 100% for the unemployed falling within the definition of the DAM (1,185 euros per month, 14.220 euros total), i.e. for those who had employed any time in declines (indicative: basic and supporting lignite mining activities, conventional electricity production activities, etc.) and transformed sectors (indicative: distribution and distribution activities).

As stated in a communication, the action is co-financed by the European Union Fair Transition Fund and by national contribution, with total co-financed public expenditure amounting to EUR 29,963,800,00.

Applications for funding shall be submitted electronically, exclusively through the Integrated State Aid Information System (TSKE) of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, at the e-mail address https://app.opske.gr/Until the action budget is exhausted.
