«In June we will have the payment of 150 euros for each child for more than 80% of families» According to the Deputy Minister despite Prime Minister Thanasis Kontogeorgis.
Support of EUR 150 for each child concerns almost one million households, with over 3 million members, and has a total budget cost of around EUR 240 million.
Indeed, as the Prime Minister himself has said, the amount will be credited to the accounts of the beneficiaries, automatically, without prior application, which limits bureaucracy, waiting and any possible technical issues.
It is noted that the measure is estimated to reach around 975,000 eligible households, compared with a total of 1,212,726 households with children, while the total number of members of eligible households exceeds 3.31 million.
Income limits
For single with a child, the family income limit reaches 39,000 euros and the aid is 150 euros.
For single with two children, the limit goes up to 44,000 euros and the aid doubles to 300 euros.
