TikTok user revealed the funny amount he earned from videos with 1.1 million views, breaking down the myth of great pay.

While famous influencers make six digit amounts per publication, the reality for ordinary users is completely different. This harsh truth was revealed by the user @baaskeey, showing them behind the cameras revenue of one of his videos.
The small amount he got from the video
«How much money did I make from a 1.1 million video screenings?» He wondered, explaining that its contents had a duration of more than one minute, fulfilling the conditions for creating revenue.
As he revealed, his 1.1 million views just paid off. $30.63 (approximately EUR 28): «You think TikTok pays a lot of money, don't you? That's what you get for a million views.», commented ironically.

How TikTok calculates payments
Analyzing the numbers, the creator explained that out of 1.1 million views, just 178,300 were considered «valid» (qualified views), and Revenue Per Mille (RPM – revenue per 1,000 views) was just 0,17 dollars.
According to TikTok Creator Academy, payments are divided into two categories: Basic Reward (Standard Reward) and Additional Reward (Additional Reward).
To measure a view, the viewer must be in specific countries where the pay programme is available (such as US, United Kingdom, France, Germany). If the public comes from elsewhere, it is not calculated. At the same time, the viewer must watch the video for at least 5 seconds.
The Additional Reward depends on the video quality, good editing, creativity and whether the content covers some specialized topics (niche).
Apparently, becoming viral in TikTok doesn't necessarily mean you're getting rich from day to day.
