From today begins the gradual renaming of OTE Group's commercial brand from Cosmote Telekom to Telekom, a change which it was announced in June and peaks on 8 September with the launch of the new campaign. Along with the name passes to each contact point with the client and magenta, the corporate color of the German group.

In products change is mechanical: Cosmote 5G becomes Telekom 5G and Cosmote Fiber becomes Telekom Fiber, while Cosmote stores are renamed Telekom. On mobiles the network indication changes to TELEKOM.GR, the official site becomes telekom.gr, Cosmote App becomes Telekom App and social media pages are renamed Telekom GR. WHAT’S UP by Cosmote will become WHAT’S UP by Telekom.

In three cases the new name is not Telekom but Magenda, the same signal it had brought to Greece and Magenda AI platform: OTE's subscription television becomes MagendaTV, payzy is renamed Magenda Pay and Cosmote Insurance has already passed into Magenda Insurance. None of the changes require energy from subscribers, the company says.

Rename is also extended to subsidiaries. Cosmote eValue becomes Telekom eValue, Cosmote Technical Services becomes Telekom Technical Services, Cosmote Global Solutions is renamed Telekom HBS (Hellenic Business Solutions), Cosmote Payments in Telekom Payments, OTE Academy in Telekom Academy and OTE Estate in Telekom Estate. The remaining OTE subsidiaries are expected to adopt the brand by early 2027.

«The transition to brand Telekom is a natural development for us. COSMOTE was the brand that connected Greece to the digital era», the President and CEO of OTE Group, Kostas Nembis, said, with the goal as he expressed him to be «to develop into the leading digital telecommunications provider in Europe».

Brand's motto remains «We connect your world.», aligned with the international «Connecting your world» Telekom.

The name adopted is not small size. According to the Brand Finance Global 500 study, Telekom is currently the world's most valuable telecom brand and the eleventh most valuable brand in the world regardless of industry, the only European brand to enter the top 20 of the ranking. Its value is estimated at $96.2 billion, the highest performance in the company's 31 years.

Traffic in Greece follows concentration of the marks of the German group under a name, a course that in recent years has passed successively by its subsidiaries throughout Europe.
