The National Medicines Agency (EPO) proceeded to recall two perfumes, with a view to protecting public health following laboratory tests.
The withdrawal concerns one lot from a product from Tesori d’Oriente and Perfume Mall. According to the FVO, it was found that these aromas do not meet the requirements of European labelling legislation, as they contain flavourings at concentrations that should necessarily be included in the packaging.
The National Medicines Agency (National Medicines Agency) announced the withdrawal of two perfumes, as part of the protection of public health. As demonstrated by laboratory tests, products do not comply with the requirements of European legislation regarding their labelling, as they contain flavouring substances at concentrations exceeding the limit of compulsory packaging.

The first decision concerns the lot 21393A07C of the Tesori d’Oriente Fior di Loto Aromatic Perfume 100ml perfume. According to the EOF, laboratory tests found that BENZYL ALCOHOL exceeds the limit of mandatory labelling for non-exploited products (0,001% w/w), as provided for in Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. GR. SARANTIS SA. it is required to communicate directly with the recipients of the consignment concerned and withdraw it from the market.
The second decision concerns the lot 240592 of the Perfume Mall WOMEN’S EAU DE PERFUME perfume. As the EOF states, laboratory tests have shown that BENZYL SALICYLATE also exceeds the limit of compulsory labelling for non-exploited products in accordance with the same European legislation. AG KOUTSOURELIS S.A. is invited to proceed immediately to withdraw this lot from the market.
The EOF notes that both decisions were adopted as preventive measures για την προάσπιση της δημόσιας υγείας, ενώ οι αρμόδιες εταιρείες οφείλουν να διατηρούν τα σχετικά παραστατικά για τουλάχιστον πέντε χρόνια και να τα θέτουν στη διάθεση του Οργανισμού, εφόσον ζητηθούν.

Απόφαση
Την ανάκληση της παρτίδας 21393A07C, του καλλυντικού προϊόντος Tesori d’ Oriente Fior di Loto Aromatic Perfume 100ml, διότι τα αποτελέσματα των εργαστηριακών ελέγχων δεν συμφωνούν με την επισήμανση του προϊόντος ως προς τον έλεγχο 7.1 BENZYL ALCOHOL, το οποίο υπερβαίνει το όριο της υποχρεωτικής αναγραφής στην επισήμανση για μη εκπλενόμενα προϊόντα 0,001% w/w, σύμφωνα με την Ευρωπαϊκή Νομοθεσία (ΕΚ 1223/2009). Η παρούσα Απόφαση εκδίδεται στο πλαίσιο προάσπισης της δημόσιας υγείας. Η εταιρεία ΓΡ. ΣΑΡΑΝΤΗΣ Α.Β.Ε.Ε. οφείλει να επικοινωνήσει άμεσα με τους αποδέκτες της συγκεκριμένης παρτίδας και να τη αποσύρει από την αγορά μέσα σε εύλογο χρονικό διάστημα. Τα σχετικά παραστατικά τηρούνται για διάστημα τουλάχιστον πέντε (5) ετών και τίθενται υπόψη του ΕΟΦ, εφόσον ζητηθούν.
Απόφαση
Την ανάκληση της παρτίδας 240592, του καλλυντικού προϊόντος Perfume Mall WOMEN’S EAU DE PERFUME, διότι τα αποτελέσματα των εργαστηριακών ελέγχων δεν συμφωνούν με την επισήμανση του προϊόντος ως προς τον έλεγχο 7.9 BENZYL SALICYLATE, το οποίο υπερβαίνει το όριο της υποχρεωτικής αναγραφής στην επισήμανση για μη εκπλενόμενα προϊόντα 0,001% w/w, σύμφωνα με την Ευρωπαϊκή Νομοθεσία (ΕΚ 1223/2009). Η παρούσα Απόφαση εκδίδεται στο πλαίσιο προάσπισης της δημόσιας υγείας. Η εταιρεία AG KOUTSOURELIS A.E. οφείλει να επικοινωνήσει άμεσα με τους αποδέκτες της συγκεκριμένης παρτίδας και να την αποσύρει από την αγορά μέσα σε εύλογο χρονικό διάστημα. Τα σχετικά παραστατικά τηρούνται για διάστημα τουλάχιστον πέντε (5) ετών και τίθενται υπόψη του ΕΟΦ, εφόσον ζητηθούν.
