The new infrastructure will allow businesses and organisations active in Greece to store and process data within borders in order to meet local storage requirements, to develop applications with extremely low response times and to use computing, storage, networking and artificial intelligence services at maximum level of security.
The possibility was also discussed. incorporation of the Greek language Amazon's device and software ecosystem, with Mr Panay noting that the Greek alphabet will be available to platform users Kindle and Alexa in the future, in a way that reflects, without prejudice, the natural use of language.
A review of Amazon’s investments in Greece was also carried out and further investment opportunities were examined, with an emphasis on infrastructure for the internet satellite service Amazon Leo, in «green» energy and the development of cutting-edge research units.
