Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and one of the richest people worldwide, has received an annual salary of just $81,400 since 1998. Bezos, who has been executive president since 2021, holds 8% of the company, worth $225 billion. Explaining his choice, he stated that his large participation in Amazon renders unnecessary additional incentives. However, the company covered about $1.6 million for its security and business trips over the past year. Bezos has never received equity compensation, unlike CEO Andy Jassi who has a base salary of $6,000.
