The extension was considered necessary as millions of vehicle owners needed more time to adapt to the new specifications of European standard DIN 13164/2022.
It is recalled that the measure concerns all motor vehicles in Greece, with the exception of two-wheel vehicles.
According to the FEK, the new pharmacy must include only at least 16 species, such as a rescue blanket, sterile bandages and wet wipes.

Please note that according to the new specifications, the new kit is not a simple case, but a complete first aid station.
Its enclosure must be dust resistant, moisture and oils, while all materials must be CE marked and comply with the Medical Devices Regulation (MDR 2017/745).
Special attention is required in the regular control of sterile materials. The expiry date of sterilisation (Sterility Expiration) is usually five years.
