The MG presented at the Festival Goodwood's Speed Go! Go!, a concept electric model belonging to category B.
The retro influences on design are clear, and remind the legendary models of the glorious MG. On the front lights, but also the third pillar, we find something from MG B GT 1965, while the general sulupi resembles that of MG Metro Turbo. The rear wings, which are quite inflated and have large vents at their bottom, are a tribute to the monstrous MG Metro 6R4 created for the Group B.
This confirms the MG itself, who stated that with Go! the company played with a retro-futuristic idea, which is inspired by some of the most youthful designs of the 20th century.
The large air ducts forward, the exposed towing hooks that protrude like racing cars, as well as the highlighted rear aerometry and rear diffuser enhance the sporttif element.
The company has not mentioned the mechanical parts of MG Go!, but stated that the model would enter production - with some changes - within 2027. It will be electric, and we expect to compete with the respective retro Renault 5 E-Tech, and the electric Mini Cooper.
It will be placed between MG3 and MG4, and will probably be called MG2.
