Όταν οι ιδιοκτήτες κατάφεραν να μπουν ξανά στον χώρο, το 2016, με δικαστική απόφαση, αντίκρισαν μια εικόνα που δεν θύμιζε σε τίποτα το ξενοδοχείο που κάποτε αποτελούσε σημείο αναφοράς. Οι ζημιές ήταν τεράστιες, με κατεστραμμένους χώρους, λεηλατημένο εξοπλισμό και σοβαρές φθορές σε ολόκληρο το κτίριο.
