LAST INFORMATION 14:00

of Manos Hachladakis

At similar paces as yesterday the Athens market continues to move, but with investors focusing more on non-bank blue chips and especially on some who have been at the heart of the pressures in the past few days.

In particular, the General Index is negotiated at 2,505 mon. With +0.5% and the turnover at EUR 100 million, 16 million pieces have been moved.

The banking index is boosted by 0.9% to 2,868 units and the FTSE of high capitalization moves at 6,365 units. with +0.55%, while the mid-term FTSEM remains around 3.146 mon.

Throughout the week, the DG has since Monday been retreating by 1.77% due to his two-day fall (Tuesday – Wednesday) in the shadow of renewed tensions in the Middle East, with DTP respectively in -0.7%.

Yesterday the market held a more stabilizing meeting, with investors turning coordinated in the banking sector (DTP +1.58%) and rally of Motor Oil (+4.1%), EYDAP (3.8%), although these were largely offset by the new correction of the Biocoal Group and the pressures on GEK TERNA, AKTOR, Allwyn, Titan, with the DG to end up marginally positive (+ 0.18%).

And today, the climate seems to be sufficiently supportive for Athens Avenue to continue to recover, since yesterday technology led to profits on Wall Street (Nasdaq + 1.3%) giving a corresponding signal of rise in the morning and on the widely exposed Asian markets (Kospi + 2.5%, Nikkei +1.6%) and oil prices stabilise at lower levels.

Regarding the slow, what the market seems to be charging is the fact that the US has avoided harming Iran's energy installations, while – despite the two days of conflict threatened to blow the already fragile armistice with Iran – American officials state that the technical talks continue normally.
