With additional funding provided by Minister for Environment and Energy Stavros Papastavou and Deputy Minister for National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis, the most mature interventions of the Programme will continue and will be completed after the deadline for the implementation of the Recovery and Durability Fund. «Saving – Business».
According to a joint communication issued by the respective ministries, the continuation was decided taking into account the major impact of the Programme «Saving – Business». The extension concerns more than 400 undertakings, which will be able to complete their operations with a new final date of completion on 30 November 2026, if they fall within one of the following stages:
* forecheck final disbursement,
* procedures for selecting energy inspector for carrying out the second Energy Performance Certificate,
* intermediate disbursement,
* checks on the legality or implementation of the interventions of the last 6th entry,
* process of completing investment through Energy Control.
Under Action «Energy and Entrepreneurship» resources over EUR 54 million have already been allocated to more than 1,600 small and medium-sized enterprises through the programmes:
* «Improving the energy efficiency of enterprises in the tertiary sector – Saving Business» and
* «Changing Device for Business», contributing in practice to reducing the energy costs of enterprises.
In their communication, the Ministries of Environment, Energy and National Economy and Finance stress their commitment to support Greek businesses, so that they become more modern, functional, economically efficient and durable against the energy challenges they face daily.
