From now on, no one will be able to buy a new Swedish brand, as the last cars of the once-strong car industry were sold.

In Greece, the Swedish car brand has now dropped final fee titles, following the announcement that the last new cars stored at the company's factory in Trollhättan Sweden ended up in the hands of buyers in the context of an auction.

The auction was organised by the Swedish auction company Klaravik, with the total amount for the seven cars auctioned (three Saab plus four NEVS - National Electric Vehicle Sweden) approaching 100,000 euros. We recall that NEVS was created after its bankruptcy Saab, practically on the remains of the latter.

Klaravik, the auction house that organized the event, said bidders from 47 countries around the world participated, thus proving how strong the image and reputation of the brand remains internationally, which are now its only legacy in the world of motor traffic.

Among the most interesting models auctioned was one used for testing autonomous driving technologies, while the highest amount given was for a purely electric NEVS car, and touched the 23,000 euros.

It also stands out a prototype electric sedan equipped with in-wheel motors technology, a highly ambitious technology that Saab and NEVS engineers had considered as a possible solution for the company's future electric models.

Finally, of particular importance for its history Saab has the Trollhättan factory itself, which is now «sanctuary» sitemark for the area and for the history of the Swedish brand.

The facilities were first operated in 1947 and for decades they were home to some of the most particular cars in European automobile, Like the Saab 900 Turbo that evolved into one of the most iconic - design and engineering - cars of the Swedish school.
