More disposable income for employees, families and pensioners are the key axis of the new economic package found the final processing stage in view of the TIF. The design is not limited to an intervention, but includes a network of measures starting from minimum wage and insurance contributions and reaching tax support for families and pension reservations.
On the workers' side, four interventions are at the heart of: new reduction in insurance contributions, a strong increase in minimum wage, additional reliefs for families with children and increase the limit on feeding orders.
For pensioners, the plan includes upgrading the permanent financial aid of EUR 300 and changing the way the Pensioner Solidarity Contribution is calculated to limit reservations for those above the relevant income limit.
The decisions are part of a wider design with a horizon in 2030, with the aim of gradually strengthening real wages and pensions, provided that the economy continues to grow at a rate of close to 2.5%.
Minimum wage to EUR 1,000
The most important intervention for workers concerns the minimum wage, currently at EUR 920. The next increase, in the spring of 2027, is considered to be strong enough not only to overcome the 950 euros target, but to create the conditions for an approach of even 1,000 euros.
Such a development would have a direct effect on the salaries of hundreds of thousands of workers, but also an indirect effect on benefits and benefits associated with the minimum wage.
Long-term planning predicts an even greater rise. With a moderate economic growth scenario of about 2.5%, the minimum wage could by 2030 reach the region of 1,120–1,140 euros.
