The incredible transformation of an Indian who made his dream come true.
There are people who, when they have a dream ahead of them, look for a way to... buy it. And there are those who decide to create it from scratch. Bibin Chacko from Kerala, India belongs to the second division.
Without the money needed for an authentic Lamborghini Huracán, the young man spent about three years in his garage, turning junk materials and old spare parts into a car reminiscent of the Italian supercar.
From scrap iron to an impressive reptile
The project started with a simple idea: to create a car that will look as much like Huracán as possible, but using materials it could find.
Bibin built the skeleton with metal pieces and parts from old vehicles. He then used fiberglass leaves for the bodywork, trying to achieve Lamborghini's characteristic low and aggressive lines.
Each piece needed handmade adjustments, as there were no ready molds or factory accessories. Dimensions, cuts and compounds were made through tests and continuous changes.
But the biggest surprise is under the hood. The engine is not Lamborghini but from a simple Maruti 800
The real Huracán has a powerful V10 engine, but the creation of Bibin moves with a much more humble mechanism.
The Indian used an engine from Maruti 800, one of India's most famous and economical cars. This choice was not made for performance, but for the car to be able to operate within the economic limits of its creator.
Thus a unique contrast was created: externally a car reminiscent of exotic supercar hundreds of thousands of euros, but mechanically a vehicle based on simple and easily available components.
But Bibin didn't stop just in appearance. He built doors that open upwards, inspired by the design of Lamborghini, and also created an improvised mechanism that allows the front to rise.
To achieve these functions he used small electrical mechanisms and solutions he designed himself inside his garage.
The construction process was recorded on YouTube video, where Bibin presented the stages of his creation. The footage from the beginning to the completion of the car impressed thousands of people around the world.
Most did not stand at the distance that separates the replica from a real Lamborghini, but at the perseverance and imagination of a man who managed to transform objects without value into something that draws all the looks.
The Huracán improvised has no technology, security or power of the authentic Lamborghini. But it has something that is not easily bought: three years of personal effort, creativity and passion for cars.
Bibin proved that many times the most impressive part of a dream is not his honor, but the way one follows to make it happen.
