In the show studio «Direct» with George Eugenidis found the Minister of Development Takis Theodorikos, which referred to the market path, implementation «Poso Kanei», interventions to reduce prices, measures to protect consumers and the political scene, INT and developments in the opposition. As regards the profit and the price trend on the market, he stated that the measure would be maintained in food if there were no substantial reductions, while for fuel it announced its withdrawal from July.
The Minister of Development started referring to implementation «Poso Kanei», noting that it already has a significant impact on consumers and contributes to market transparency, as over 250,000 citizens have made use of it. As he stressed, the aim is to strengthen competition and act as a tool of pressure towards the market for lower prices.
However, he added that he was surprised by the opposition's attitude towards implementation, saying that «complex reaction».
Takis Theodorikos regarding the profit side, noted that fuel has been geared towards its withdrawal since July, while food has made it clear that the measure will be maintained if there are no substantial price reductions. At the same time, it left the possibility open «Gentlemen's agreement» by buying de-escalation of prices.
In the field of consumer credit, the minister presented the new bill, which – as he said – concerns all citizens, as it strengthens transparency in banking contracts and limits interest rates. As he said, a maximum potential burden of 30%–50% is foreseen, as well as greater protection for the borrower. In addition, it mentioned the right to withdraw 14 days from bank contracts without penalties, but also an obligation on banks to provide human service instead of exclusively automated systems.
Referring to the ITH announcements, the Minister stressed that small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, which he described as a critical pillar of the economy, will be at the heart of the focus.
At political level, speaking of Alexis Tsipras, noted that those who expected «ideal situations by leaders have been disappointed», while stressing that the New Democracy remains a force for stability in the face of politics «experiments».
For OPEKEPE, he admitted that there was a scandal, stressing that the government has assumed its responsibilities, while for cases involving ND officials he noted that Justice has the final say. On the case with Anna Michel Asimakopoulou and the e-mails of the expatriates commented «To be hunted 'Cause he e-mailed?».
Finally, with regard to Antonis Samaras and Costas Karamanlis, he expressed the appreciation that they should remain within the New Republic, while stating that he does not believe that Antonis Samaras will proceed with the creation of a new party. On the issue of co-operation after the election he commented: «In politics never say never». The aim, as it has concluded, remains the self-reliance of the South West and political stability.
