The Sub-Directorate of Cyber Crime Northern Greece proceeded to identify a 75-year-old man, against whom a case was formed for the offence of disrupting service operations and specifically in municipality.
The case started after a municipal complaint, according to which a stranger sent mass emails (spam) in service e-mail addresses of the municipality.
The elderly in the municipality caused serious problems
This action has resulted in serious causes of problems in the proper functioning of municipal services.
A preliminary examination was ordered to investigate the complaint. From the police investigation that followed and carried out with a thorough examination of the available data, it emerged that the electronic trail related to the management of the email accounts at issue has been established. correspond to the 75-year-old defendant.
The file formed for the case was forwarded to the competent prosecutor for further action.
