Fuel infringements were detected during the controls of Independent Market and Consumer Protection Authority and fines of a total amount will be imposed EUR 54,000 In 9 stations, of which 6 in Thessaloniki.

Specifically, as announced by the Independent Authority for Market Control and Consumer Protection, it carried out coordinated control operations over the last 3 weeks in Crete, Aetoloakarnania, Magnesia, Thessaloniki and Trikala, as part of the intensification of actions to comply with the fuel ceiling.

During the checks, excesses of the maximum ceiling were found in both unleaded petrol and diesel at 3 stations in Aetoloakarnania, 6 in Thessaloniki, as well as non-inclusion of data at the Fuel Prices Observatory, in breach of the relevant obligations.

These infringements will be subject to administrative fines at all 9 stations, totalling EUR 54,000.

The Authority points out in its Communication that it is carrying out systematic and targeted controls throughout the territory and there will be no tolerance whatsoever to phenomena of unfair profitability.
