Inversely counts time to start applications for the new programme «Tourism for All 2026-2027», as according to Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni, the electronic platform will open on 7 August.
The new cycle of the program returns with extended income and social criteria, increased amounts of subsidy and longer duration, enabling more citizens to take a financial holiday throughout Greece.
For the Tourism Ministry the program «Tourism for All 2026-2027» is also a developmental «tool» supporting the strategy for 12 months of tourism, local communities, stimulating every corner of the country, particularly in mountainous and less populated areas.
Tourism for All 2026-2027: Applications open, who gets bigger voucher
For the first time, people with a disability rate of 67% or more and families with children – people with a disability of 67%, participate in the draw without income criteria. Income limits increase from 19,000 to 21,000 euros for single persons without children and from 31,000 to 33,000 for married persons without children. For many children the ceilings are extended according to the number of children, while from the 4th child and above the subsidy is reinforced with 50 euros for each child. The subsidy amounts range from EUR 200 to 600, depending on the period and category of beneficiaries.
The new cycle is not limited to a simple repetition of the previous design. On the contrary, it introduces changes both during the validity of the digital card and in income limits, subsidy amounts and incentives for travel outside the high summer period.
The main philosophy of the programme is to give more time to the beneficiaries, to strengthen families and vulnerable social groups and to direct part of the tourist demand to less favoured destinations and months of lower traffic.
Raw card up to 18 months
The most important differentiation concerns the duration of the subsidy. In previous programmes, beneficiaries had to use the amount within a limited period of time, resulting in several having difficulty organizing their journey in time or losing part of the aid.
In the new circle, the intangible digital card can remain active for up to 18 months, depending on the time of accession of the beneficiary. This longer duration offers the possibility of better programming, especially for households with increased obligations, children or limited mobility.
At the same time, financial aid will not need to be used in a single reservation. Beneficiaries will be able to allocate the amount in more stays if there is a balance on the card and the transactions are made within the intended period of validity.
So a household will, for example, be able to use a part of the subsidy for a short summer escape and the rest for a winter or spring trip.
Higher income limits
The new design provides for a marked expansion of income criteria so that more citizens who have so far stayed out of the programme for minor overruns of previous limits can participate.
For singles without children, the income limit is increased from 19,000 to 21,000 euros. For married couples without children, the limit goes up from 31,000 to 33,000 euros.
Support for disabled persons and support for families
For the first time, the programme includes:
persons with disabilities (≥ 67%) regardless of income
- Families with children of disabled persons, also without income criteria
At the same time, additional aid is introduced for large families, with an additional EUR 50 for each child from the fourth and above, substantially strengthening large households.
Digital card and simplified process
The program will continue to operate through intangible digital card, with full utilization of the infrastructure of gov.gr and vouchers.gov.gr platforms.
Applications may be submitted:
- Electronic
- Through JEP
- Through organized help desk support
The selection process remains based on an electronic draw, ensuring transparency and equal opportunities for participation.
Grants up to EUR 600
The financial aid will start at EUR 200 and, depending on the beneficiary’s category, may be up to EUR 600.
The final amount will not only be determined by the applicant's social and family characteristics. The time period during which the card will be used will also play a crucial role.
Beneficiaries who choose to travel during the months of low tourist traffic will receive a higher subsidy. The increased aid will mainly concern residences from October to April.
In this way, it aims to limit the intense seasonality of Greek tourism and support businesses operating in mountainous areas, continental destinations and smaller cities.
Motivating for winter and spring escapes
The programme attempts to gradually change the way domestic tourism demand is distributed over the year.
Increased subsidies outside the summer period may act as an incentive for travel to destinations not based on the sun and sea, but on mountain activities, gastronomy, culture, religious tourism or escapes to nature.
Traditional hostels, small hotels and accommodation in less popular areas can benefit significantly, especially in the months in which completeness remains low.
At the same time, beneficiaries will have access to lower accommodation prices than the peak period, which may increase the actual value of the subsidy and allow more overnight stays.
The application procedure
Applications will be made exclusively electronically through the special platform vouchers.gov.gr or the main portal of gov.gr.
The interested parties will be associated with the Taxisnet personal codes and will complete the information required for the application. Automatic crossings will then take place for income, family situation and social criteria.
For those who are not familiar with digital services, there will be a possibility of support through Citizens Service Centres. JEPs will be able to help register the application and complete the necessary data properly.
