For 1/7/2027 the start of the obligation to pay rents exclusively through a bank account, with A.1177/2026 decision of the Governor of the Independent Public Revenue Authority, George Pitsilis.

The extension was deemed necessary in order to complete the system of cross-checking the relevant data with payment service providers and to give the necessary time to owners and tenants to adapt smoothly to the new process.
