The equipment program for the construction of new high-speed vessels for the Navy Underwater Disaster Command is under way. According to reports, the provision of Greek design of unorthodox-type speedboats (SAPs/ SEALs) is promoted. «GENOR». The program a few days ago received the approval of the Supreme Navy Council and more within the next few days expects approval from the Board of Chiefs of General Staff. Special interest was shown by the leadership of the Hellenic SEALs and Special Operations Forces to acquire a high-speed vessel of Greek origin. In a good partnership, the Hellenic Navy General Staff and the Chief of the Navy managed to integrate this programme into the 12-year Medium-term Defence Equipment Planning (BAE) in order to secure funding for the program.
In particular, it is important to obtain the AGOOR II type AAP for the Command of Navy Submarine Disasters in order to replace older generation vessels of the DHN. Particularly important is the fact that the design of the vessel will add regular mission systems such as MIMS NAVAL (ordinary mission planning) as well as the MIMS RANGER communications system (which is carried by the Submarine Disaster Teams) products of the Greek company SCYLTAYS of the EFA Group. For example, the current vessel bears Miltech Hellas's electrooptic MLT-SUR-RT. Also, speedboats will be equipped with electrics of Greek origin as well as Unmanned Aircraft of Greek companies. It is reportedly considered that AGOOR II vessels may carry drones of either Altus LSA or UCANDRONE/ EFA GROUP or SAS Technology.

The vessel is made of aluminium alloys and the layout follows that of the USN Mark V vessels. The transferred personnel of the special forces on board AGENOR II shall be transferred as a whole to special anti-racing seats in order to provide protection against weather and vibration. The total ten people are transported behind the site of government. From the middle and back there is a large open deck which ends in a slide for a windboat or other equipment such as a Submarine Vehicle or UAV. Under the open deck are fitted the two engines of the MAN type vessel V8 which deliver a maximum power of 1200 horsepower at 2300 p.a., and drop by means of a ZF 2000A gearbox in an equivalent type Q-SPD 230 propellers. Access to the engines for repairs and maintenance is through equal numbers of hatches located on the open deck. There is also a 15 kW power generator.
The total length of the vessel is 17.6 metres, the width 4.2 metres, the height of the hull 2.2 metres and the sinking 0,95 metres. The full displacement is 22 tons and the beneficial load is 4.5 tonnes. The maximum speed achieved is over 45 knots while at 35 knots cruising speed the range is 350 nautical miles. Fuel tanks have a capacity of 2.2 tonnes of fuel. With regard to the vessel's equipment beyond the standard electronics and radar, AGNOR also has a stabilised heat camera MLT-SUR-100 of Miltech with the ability to locate vessels and enemy targets over long distances. The armament consists of a fully stabilized 12.7 mm gun station on the bow and two seats for portable armament on the open deck on the stern.
