Adding ETC to the name, as initials of Electronic Throttle Control, Zontes renewed its adventure motorcycle with upgrades to points that were necessary.
The main building stone of the upgrade is new 6 axle IMU inert unit, which continuously monitors the movement and inclination of the motorcycle, cooperating with Cornering ABS and Cornering TCS.

The ETC electronic gas allows more precise power management and forms the basis for the operation of the new electronic systems. The rider has five drivers available – Road, Sport, Rain, Off Road and Rider – to adapt the response, adhesion and degree of system intervention to the conditions in question. In the personalized Rider program the ability to adjust Engine Brake is added, shaping the engine brake according to rider preferences.
The Cruise Control was a significant lack of 703F now added to the arsenal of the renewed model.

The 3-cylinder engine of 699 cc, with forged pistons and cylinders with special ceramic coating for friction reduction and strength increase, features the same 95.2 horsepower and 7.6 millimetres efficiency on the crank, powered by a Marelli EFI spray system.
It has a cooling circuit with separate oil cooler and deflector on the right side that directs the warm air away from the rider's feet.
The two-beam frame of aluminium alloy has not changed, as have also aluminum subframe and scissors. It is combined with fully adjustable posts Marzocchi front and rear, while in the braking system we encounter the second major change of the new 703 ETC.

This is a point that needed correction, As we pointed out last year in the 703F test, so Zontes addressed the issue upgrading her motorcycle with a Brembo system (in place of the J.Juan he was wearing so far), with radial pump and four-piston radial claws on the front wheel.
The new model equipment is very rich, starting with the color screen TFT 6,75′′ with four different display environments, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, navigation with mirroring and wireless OTA software updates, while its control passes through new controls with illuminated clues and joystick.

The main package also includes electrically adjustable gelatin, heated grill and saddle, Keyless 3.0 system that allows for the activation and unlocking of the motorcycle from a distance of up to 1.5 metres, as well as two cameras, front and rear, automatically recording the route in full HD 1080p resolution equipped with night-receiving sensors, over-wide 140° lens and F1.8.
Zontes freshened the saddle with redesigned foam material and lining, while the basic equipment still includes aluminum engine apron and stainless steel perimeter bars, side luggage bases designed for suitcases up to 35 litres and grill with aluminum base supporting a top case of 36–45 litres.
The motorcycle that in its first generation has already proved its credibility with two very demanding trips in the hands of Constantine Mitsakis – from Greece to frozen Iceland and from Athens to Shanghai through the Taklamakan Desert with temperatures that touched 50°C – comes in its new upgraded form at exactly the same price as it had, the most competitive 7.595€ and available in black-grey coloring through the Zontes network of Gorgolis SA.
