Major changes to the two previous programmes «Home» it is expected to include the new cycle of the programme, with the main development of extending the value limit of the properties that can be incorporated.
According to the ERT, the ceiling is expected to rise to 300,000 euros, from 250,000 euros in previous programmes.
Home 3: What changes in the new circle
This change attempts to address one of the main problems recorded in previous circles. The significant rise in prices on the real estate market had limited the available options for the interested parties, as it was difficult to identify lower value properties that met the criteria of the programme at the same time.
Despite these difficulties, both «Home» and «Home 2» have shown high absorption rates, indicating the high demand for programmes facilitating the acquisition of first residence.
In the new cycle, available resources, which come from the Recovery Fund and have now been transferred to the Development Bank, are expected to be used to support even more households.
The goal is to be able to acquire their own home of 15,000 to 20,000 households, with emphasis on young people and young couples.
However, the increase in the value of the buildings to EUR 300,000 is estimated to significantly expand the reservoir of available housing and give more choice to the beneficiaries, at a time when access to housing is one of the most important economic challenges for the newer households.
