The electronic transactions continue to be rewarded through the monthly taxation AADE, with the new draw for the markets of April 2026 completed and hundreds of taxpayers waiting to see if they are among the lucky ones who secured prizes. The measure is now a stable tool for strengthening electronic payments, with the aim of encouraging the use of cards and digital transactions in everyday life.

The process concerns those who made purchases or payments by electronic means during the previous month, with the draw paying off amounts starting from EUR 1,000 and reaching EUR 50,000.

How taxation works

Tax is based on the amount of electronic transactions made by taxpayers and cleared by banking institutions each month.

For each euro spent through cards or other electronic means of payment, a lottery participation ticket shall correspond.

The monthly spending ceiling taken into account is 10,000 euros, which means that taxpayers can raise up to 10,000 francs per month from their daily transactions.

The AADE holds an electronic draw every month, through which a total of 556 lucky ones are shown.

The prize money

The amounts allocated to the monthly tax system shall be gradually distributed.
One super lucky man wins the grand prize of 50,000 euros, while five taxpayers guarantee 20,000 euros each.

At the same time, fifty lucky ones receive from 5,000 euros, while the remaining five hundred winners receive from 1,000 euros.

The amounts shall be paid directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, without requiring an additional application procedure.

The logic of the measure is double: on the one hand, to strengthen the use of electronic transactions and on the other hand to reduce tax evasion through the recording of payments.

When is the lottery going up?

The system rewards even more those who use more electronic payments than their declared income.

In particular, when electronic costs exceed certain percentages of monthly income — That's one twelfth of annual income. — The lotteries multiply.

If expenditure exceeds 30% of monthly income, the lotteries are doubled.

When more than 50%, the lotteries triple, and if electronic transactions reach more than 70% of income, entries quadruple.

In this way, AADE attempts to give a stronger incentive to use digital transactions even in daily small-value markets.

How the lucky ones are informed

Taxpayers can be informed of the results through the special platform of ACE, where the lucky tickets are posted every month.

At the same time, those who win are also notified through the contact details they have stated on Taxisnet.

Taxation has evolved in recent years into one of the main mechanisms for promoting electronic payments on the Greek market, with the expansion of the use of POS and digital transactions gradually changing consumer habits.

At the same time, increased use of electronic means of payment enhances transparency in transactions and limits the use of cash to much of the market.

For many taxpayers, participation in taxation now acts as an additional small financial incentive for selecting cards and digital payments in their everyday lives.
