A few days after Agreement with Tehran, the government Trump goes on a move which until recently would be considered inconceivable: Iran sell oil in dollars, even American buyers.
The US Treasury's decision suspends for two months basic sanctions that for decades formed the core of political economic pressure against the Islamic Republic.
The biggest sanctions relaxation in decades
The license issued by the U.S. Treasury allows Iran temporarily to export oil and be paid in dollars, which for decades was substantially banned.
To date Tehran had to use complex networks of ombudsmen, third countries and one «a shadow fleet» tankers to dispose of its oil, mainly to China.
With the new exception, Iranian banks may receive direct payments from abroad and the country will more easily repatriate its export revenue.
From exclusion to economic breath
Evolution becomes even more important considering that just a few weeks ago the US had imposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports, attempting to strangle the country's exports.
Now not only is the exclusion lifted, but even the operation of «a shadow fleet» which Iran used to circumvent sanctions.
Analysts who spoke in the Wall Street Journal are talking about the more significant relaxation of the sanctions regime in the last two decades.
Inspectors are coming back.
At the same time U.S. Vice President Jay Di Vance stated from Switzerland that Tehran accepted in principle the return of inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
If it is confirmed, it will be the first essential step to relaunch international surveillance after the US-Israeli strikes at the nuclear facilities of Natanz, Fordeau and Isfahan.

Και αυτό ακριβώς είναι το ερώτημα που αρχίζει να κυριαρχεί στην αμερικανική πολιτική σκηνή: αν το Ιράν παίρνει οικονομική ανάσα, πρόσβαση στις αγορές και δισεκατομμύρια δολάρια εσόδων, τι ακριβώς έχει κερδίσει μέχρι στιγμής η Ουάσιγκτον πέρα από την υπόσχεση ότι οι διαπραγματεύσεις θα συνεχιστούν;
