The video was shared by a passenger, who accompanied it with the caption: «The guy messed up my flight to Vegas.».

It was later confirmed that a 31-year-old man was arrested as a suspect intoxication on board, about 17:30 on Thursday, August 6.

A London Metropolitan Police spokesman said the police were called after reports of a passenger causing problems on an aircraft which was about to depart.

As he said: «The aircraft returned to the terminal, so the police could board. A 31-year-old man was arrested as a suspect in on-board drunkenness and non-compliance with the governor's orders. Remains in custody while further investigations are being conducted».

British Airways spokesman said: «Disturbed or aggressive behavior is never tolerated within our aircraft and the safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority. When such incidents occur, appropriate measures shall always be taken».

The video garnered thousands of comments, with many users congratulating the flight attendant on her calm and determination, while several asked for medals to be awarded to the cabin crew.

The passenger who recorded the incident later revealed that the flight attendant had followed him to social media and that he had invited her to meet him at a concert he would give that night in Las Vegas.
