There is a major police operation under way in Thessaloniki for the dismantling of a criminal organisation which allegedly intervened in counters of the HEDNO by winning 9m euros.
The operation is reportedly carried out by police officers of the Department for the Treatment of Organized Crime in Northern Greece, in collaboration with the DEDNO, and concerns a circuit that allegedly involved specialized interventions in business and housing counters.

According to the first information, the activity of the organization extends to areas of Attica, Macedonia, Thrace, Thessaly and the Peloponnese.

Three main members of the circuit were arrested - total 105 accused
So far three key members of the criminal organisation have been arrested, while a total of 105 people are accused of being involved in rheumatist cases.
The financial damage suffered by the TENs by the alleged activity of the circuit is estimated to exceed EUR 9 million.
Authorities' investigations are in full progress.
