of Manos Hachladakis
Its fourth upcoming meeting is followed by the Athens market at the beginning of the new stock week, with investors continuing rotation in titles.
In particular, the General Index negotiates at 2,555 points with +0.7% and turnover at EUR 110 million, while 14 million pieces have been moved.
The banking index is reinforced by 0.6% at 2,878 units and the FTSE of high capitalization moves at 6,488 units. with +0.7%, while the mid-term FTSEM is slightly enhanced by 0.15% around 3,201 mon.
More generally, the market shows from the opening willingness to continue where it ended last week, which had profits of 3.59% for the DG, with the climate internationally being rather supportive as buyers have a small lead in both Europe and the contracts of Wall Street indicators.
At the same time, oil prices stabilise in the $70 barrel area, after OPEC+ agreed to increase its production by 188,000 barrels a day in August, while bond yields have a slightly negative slope.
At its side, L. Athens has today the upgrading JP Morgan's recommendation to "overweight" from "neutral", appreciating that the forthcoming inclusion of shares in Euro Stoxx could lead to inflows of funds of approximately $1 billion, with the US house looking at the index of the four systemic Greek banks at the September 18 review.
However, consistently since opening buyers focus more on non-bank blue chips. With banks still rising, but with more limited changes.
Moves on the dashboard
Motor Oil continues undamaged and higher with orders up to 42.6 euros, after the cumulative +8.5% of last week.
Next door follows PPC over 24 euros with +2.2% and the second biggest turnover of the day at 13.4m euros.
Profits over 2% on the 25th are also noted by EYDAP and Cenergy, which shows a willingness to build on Friday's 3.8% jump.

On the other hand, some limited pressure is placed on GEK TERNA at 45.8 to -0.7%, after the shares of the capital increase, which had been made at a disposal price of €42.5.
In mid caps stands out the recovery of both IPTO with +2% and Cree Cree with +1.7%, while pressure is received by Ideal at -2.4%.
In the lower layers Q&R performs a 7.5% rally with a turnover of over 700 thousand euros.
Fice writes -3.5% at 3.62 after negotiating without the dividend €0.15 per share.
Despite the rise of the DG, however, the total table of 56 titles are moving up against 72 falls.
At a more general level, Elias Zachrakis of Fast Finance notes in his weekly comment that "when we estimated that the DG could in 2026 be found in the 2,650 – 2,850 units zone, the script seemed quite distant. But more and more people are beginning to think it realistic. Transactions remain clearly reduced, which will likely change as long as the banking index guarantees its high. The important thing is that there is gradually a diffusion of interest in the rest of the market, with this trend expected to be strengthened in the next period."
According to him, "liquidity seeks passages and titles that can offer returns in the coming months. This means that in several cases we may see more abrupt moves, as many shares are long in accumulation phase."
At a technical level, based on the analysis of El. Zachakis, the daily stop on the General Index has now risen to 2,438 units, while the 2,540-2,560 units zone is the basic short-term resistance. Once secured, we could see an even more aggressive upward movement, with the next important goal being the 2.620-2,660-unit zone. The banking indicator tries to stabilise over 2,860 units and if it succeeds the road opens to levels above 3,000 units.
